A SMASHING GOOD TIME
We’ve all been frustrated by our technology. Computer monitors malfunction, phones stop working, and even the most promising printers end up shoved in a supply closet at some point. Not only are these electronics unusable, but they’re also taking up valuable storage space for companies across Baton Rouge!In an effort to recycle old computer equipment, raise money for the Companion Animal Alliance, AND help you relieve some stress… we’re holding the 1st Annual Sparkhound Smash-a-thon!Join us for be food, drinks, live music, and of course... smashing! Not in the mood to destroy an old printer? No problem! The Smash-A-Thon will feature game booths, video game challenges, and a variety of other fun activities to choose from. All proceeds will go to the Companion Animal Alliance.
100% of the proceeds for this event will go to the Companion Animal Alliance. The Smash-a-thon combines recycling and stress-relief for an excellent cause!

Companion Animal Alliance operates as the nonprofit, open-intake animal shelter for East Baton Rouge Parish. No! You just need to buy a ticket and we'll do the rest!What happens to the smashed-up electronics after the event?
The remains of the smashed electronics will be efficiently recycled by Secure Shredding & Recycling.What safety measures are in place for participants?
Personal protective equipment will be provided to all guests, and participants must sign a waiver detailing the process before they start smashing.Are there other activities available if I don't want to smash electronics?
Yes, the event will feature game booths, a Super Smash Brothers challenge on the Nintendo Switch, live music, in-person raffles, and the chance for kids and adults to learn what all the components inside your devices actually do!Can I bring my kids?
Yes, this is intended to be a family friendly event for all ages.
